Glenmorangie Port Wood

A lovely whisky from Glenmorangie's "...Wood Finish" range, this was a surprise hit all-round. The distiller's website explains, "Initially matured in American White Oak casks for at least ten years, Glenmorangie is then racked into port pipes for the final period of maturation. The result is a malt with the colour of antique copper: golden but with a rosy hue". It has a really smooth mouthfeel but a wonderfully rich, full flavour.
